In 2015 at 19 she published her first debut single Here. It was an instant hit with both critics as well as the fans were awed by the song. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of 2015. That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track was distinctive since a lot of people reacted to the conversation she conducted with Rap-Up about her struggle in learning to love and embrace her. Cara includes messages of kindness and loving yourself in her songs. Cara has struggled with anxiety and insomnia, both of which has influenced her music. According to a Reuters interview, her album was described as half tumultuous half perfected. Her growth was aided by therapy and advises people to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since the year 1996. Her parents have Italian heritage. In 2010, her parents gave her a brand-new guitar that she was able to use to develop her passion for the music. At the age of 13 she began covering her favorite songs via YouTube one of the biggest media platforms in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and determination to develop into a singer. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather got her noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record the tracks.
