The singer released her debut single Here in 2015 at the age of aged 19. It was an instant hit that both critics and fans praised it. It was ranked in the top 19 on both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. At the same time that she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of her five original songs that was featured on the Billboard Charts, including Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and Billboard 200 for Canadian Albums Charts. This particular track was special due to her interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans related to her journey through self-doubt and discovering how to be a better person. Cara incorporates messages about compassion and self-love throughout her songs. Everything stems from her personal experiences as she suffered from mental health problems as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, her album is described as half tumultuous half perfected. People have told her that she found her growth through therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Her parents gifted her with an instrument when she was 10 and this led to her passion for music. A few years later, at the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs on YouTube a major media platform to prove to the world she possessed the talent skills and determination to develop into a singer. Sweater Weather is among those covers that led to being discovered at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label gave her the opportunity to create her own songs.
